WHAT ARE COLONICS?

Colonics are the cleansing of your large intestine, which comprise 5-7 feet of the intestine. It  helps to rid the body of bad bacteria such as food waste, fermentation, yeast build up, parasites and more. Colonics are great for most indivuduals wanting to rid the bad bacteria and incorporate the friendly flora in their colon.  If you don't eliminate the toxins in your colon, you will feel sluggish and have gas and bloat, constipation, fatigue, weight gain, acid reflux, allergies, sleep problems, IBS, Candida, Parasites and many more negative issues.  Colonics are safe and wonderful it takes the pressure off the other internal organs of the body and once you empty out your colon  and start a colonic cocktail program the waste will form the right consistancy and empty  properly (about 2 times a day) and you will feel great when that large intestine (colon) empties out.

Who should have a colonic? Anyone who doesn’t have an already diseased colon or any contraindication to colonics can have this procedure. A colonic is great for health-conscious individuals wanting to enhance their lifestyle, or for those who suffer from bloat and gas, constipation, irregularity, fatigue, weight issue, heartburn, acid reflux, allergies, skin outbreaks, sleep problems, IBS, Candida, parasites, and many more. The best time to have a colonic is in your 20’s, to start a regular routine of colonic cleaning. Some people after their colon is cleaned out come every 1 to 2 months (can be seasonal) depending on their lifestyle. Even a child or the elderly can have a colonic, as long as the colon therapist has gone to school and been trained. Always ask if the colon therapist went to school and for how long. Find out if she has a Safe colonic unit if it is safe.. it will be a CLOSED gravity unit.

The school where the colon therapist came from should have technical and practical training by a certified teacher.  The colon therapist, after graduating, should work in their clinic for 2 weeks before working with the general public. Home-study certificates, in my opinion are not good enough to be working  with the intestine.Paper studies are not enough for someone to call themselves a colon therapist to qualify as a competent colonic practitioner the person must spend four weeks at a school and do two weeks practical time at the colonic center where they graduate. . Please always ask the Colonic Therapist if they are certified by schooling and where did they go and is their COLONIC Unit a SAFE GRAVITY UNIT.  Here at A Touch of Warmth Colonics in Edison, New Jersey, we use a CLOSED COLONIC UNIT, which is a SAFE UNIT. The colon therapist is with you at all times running the unit. There is a unit on the wall and the colon therapist will open a bag which contains disposables that get used only once. In the bag is a speculum, a waste tube, a water tube and lubricant packets. The speculum goes into the buttocks 1 ½” inches and is very well lubricated. Attached to the speculum (this is where the waste goes through) is the water tube and the waste tube which gets attached to the unit on the wall. You will be on a fill, an empty, a soak, and a constant rotation, whatever is needed for the person on the table having the colonic. There is quiet music playing in a relaxed atmosphere and there is a view tube where you can watch if you want, while the colon therapist is performing your colonic. She will tell you if the fecal matter is old or new, dry or dehydrated, improper food combination, if everything looks good and/or if the cecum dumps. She will also tell you what part of the large intestine is being emptied, it may be the descending colon, the ascending colon, and/or transverse colon. At a certain point, your stomach will be massaged to loosen any debrie off the walls of the colon and also to see if there is any blockages in the colon also to see if the water reached the ascending side of the colon. When the water reaches the ascending side of the colon I close the valve that separates the small and large intestine so as not the have the waste go backwards into the small intestine. The colonic session is one full hour. There will be instructions to prepare for your colonic two days prior, and a diet will be recommended along with your colon cocktail.

People usually ask how many colonic sessions they will need. I would say if you follow your program and the recommended diet, the maximum number of colonic sessions to clean out the large intestine would probably be four or five sessions before the cecum dumps. Then I recommend a maintenance program which is dependant on the individual. It might be a month later, or two months in the beginning, maybe after 2 to 3 weeks, your colon will start to get used to its normal shape. What it boils down to is that it varies for every individual.
