What ever you choose you will getting your colonic. Some people have irrigularity on and it gets very tiring, some say they used to go fine until the last year or two and they don't understand why they feel bloated or irrigular as they work out or eat right. They start to accept the way they fell or they go to the doctor and the doctor finds nothing wrong and tells them it is IBS or eat a better diet. Well what if it is a small blockage of waste from bread or too much meat or improper food combining? You might just have a small blockage that needs to come out or your colon might have gotten lazy or backed up from almost anything. Most of the time just a cleanse will get you back on track again and feeling great. Most people don't know there is 21 to 23 foot small intestine inside of them and then the large colon is another 5-6 foot long. If your colon gets full it applies pressure on your other internal organs and you might just need to clean out well. A colonic will remove all the gasses within the colon that take up so much room,and your therapist will work the waste out of the colon that should have been out a long time ago. A good diet program, plus your proper food combining charts and you will be on your way to feeling better fast.
Some people ask how many sessions will they need to empty their large intestine and I tell them if you are on your colonic cocktail and following your diet, probably 1-4 sessions before your colon will dump fully and then you would just keep up with your maintance and maintance of the colon is different for everyone. I myself like to have a colonic every month or two to maintain my healthy colon.
Am I certified and for how long have I been doing Colonics? Yes I am certified colonic therapist from three different schools. I have been a Colonic Therapist since 1994 and I work with only closed Colonic Systems, a closed Colonic Unit (CLOSED COLONIC UNITS). How often should you have a colonic? It is best procedure to have an initial colonic session before determining how many colon sessions will be recommended for you. Again, the duration and frequency of the cleansing of the colon varies from one individual to another. Some people have a slow metabolism, a compromised immune system, and constipation. People who eat out a lot and do not want to worry about picking up parasites should maintain their colon with regular maintained sessions.
What should I expect the first time? You need to call to make an appointment. I will recommend you prepare a day with your diet before your colonic it is not totally necessary if you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables in your diet. It is very simple, when you come into the office, you will fill out a health form, then I leave the room as you empty your bladder in the bathroom. You will change into your gown and booties and get onto the table and put your cover on. I will then come into the room and there will be relaxing music playing as we begin the colonic procedure. The bag of disposables will be opened in front of you. The speculum goes into your the beginning of the anal canal an 1 ½”, and attached to the speculum is the waste tube and the water tube. You will be comfortably resting on your back and the view tube is in front of you so you can see all if you want. I will be explaining to you everything that is going on. Most importantly, there is no pain in having a colonic and a colonic session lasts for only 45 ninutes to an hour on the table.
At Touch Of Warmth.we use the Dotolo, and the Hydro San Units, they are closed and safe, the client would be on a fill, an empty, a constant rotation, and soak. At A Touch Of Warmth the speculum is 1 1/2 inches long and comes in different widths (small, medium and large). Always ask if you are making an appointment on a safe and closed unit we only work with closed colonic units...
In most of the States, the Closed Colonic Units are used. One state that is well known for colonic irrigation cleansing is California where the movie stars get them for health and well being and weight control or to prevent constipation. In California, the units are all Closed colonic units. In Florida the colonic units are closed.

Open units - Jimmy John, LIBBE, Colonz, or Angel (I do not recommend) you are alone with no one running your session It is like renting the room and doing your own session,do you know what to do? Do you know how much water to take into the colon at one time? Of course not, no one should ever ever give themselves there own session and if they find this is the case they should get up and leave and request their money back. This is a dangerous situation to be in. Also, for your knowledge, if you call the FDA it is in your phone book you will find the LIBBE is NOT EVEN A COLONIC UNIT I am very serious ... they claim to be FDA approved but for what! A water faucet? The Colonz is an enema and there is no way the water can go around the whole large intestine. When calling and looking for a colonic just make sure you are on what is called a CLOSED COLONIC, also, make sure you are getting 45 minutes to an hour and make sure your disposables are still in their wrapper unopened and your colonic therapist will be turning the knobs on the unit to a fill to an empty and explaining everything that is going on during your relaxing session.
What is an electrolyte? Electrolytes are the minerals that are necessary for the human body to maintain itself in a stable condition.
Will the electrolyte balance in my body be changed? No In the study "Effects of Colon Hydrotherapy on on serum electrolytes" done in 1989, no patients experienced any clinically significant symptoms or disturbances.
How is the electrolyte balance affected by diarrhea? Diarrhea is a result of the lining of the colon secreting large quantities of water and electrolytes in response to a chemical reaction such as laxatives. The water and accompanying electrolytes come from within the body, draining from the blood, tissue and cells. Diarrhea is also the result of rapid peristalic action, which causes a drain of ions to the muscles of the colon. Colon Hydrotherapy does not pull water from the body's systems, or irritate the bowel. Colon Hydrotherapy and diarrhea are not similar.
Why did I become a Colonic Therapist? In 1988 I became a massage therapist and one year in 1993 I went on a weekend seminar to add to my skills in massage therapy and my partner in class was not only a massage therapist but also a Colonic Therapist. I had no idea what a Colonic Therapist was so I asked her about it she proceeded to explain colon therapy to me.
I talked about my life, of all the ups and downs with constipation as a child for I was in the nurse's office more then the classroom. As a young adult, I had almost died of toxic poisoning of the bowel and was taken by my mother to the emergency and cared for for 4 days I relied on laxatives so I did not become toxic again and almost die.
When older and during a work week I would suffer and weekends I would take laxitives and never knew when it would kick in and I would have to run to the bathroom. Most of my weekends would be at home by the bathroom and were ruined as a young adult doing fun things with friends. As time went on, problems grew, I suffered with a spastic colon too many laxatives, ulcerative colitis, IBS, and the worst fissures, the bleeding from fissures caused me to become anemic; doctors did not know if things would get better or not. After all I went through and meeting this girl I have to admit I doubted it would help me, I just could not believe it but she told me to try a colonic and I did. I had a series and I changed my diet, incorporated some exercise, have my maintenance when needed and now have for years I have had 2-3 bowel movements a day. Colonic Therapy was a miracle to me and changed my life forever as it does for many others who have had colonics. I always felt that I was my worst client, from the beginning with all my ailments until colon therapy helped rid me of my problems, and set me free!
